Entry Strategies by Timing
Early Entries (0-40 seconds)
When to use:- You have high conviction in a horse
- Want to place large entries without pool manipulation detection
- Entering under-priced horses before others notice
- Pool can change dramatically
- Estimated payouts less accurate
- May want to adjust later (requires a new entry)
Mid Entries (40-90 seconds)
When to use:- Most common entry window
- Good balance of information and time
- Pool stabilizing but still has time for adjustments
- Better pool visibility
- More accurate payout estimates
- Still time for additional entries
Late Entries (90-120 seconds)
When to use:- Want maximum pool certainty
- Experienced player exploiting last-minute inefficiencies
- Small entries that won’t affect pool
- ⚠️ Network delays: Transaction might not confirm in time
- Limited time for multiple entries
- High pressure decision-making
